Symposium on the Future of Banking as a Profession

Retail banking should be a profession like accountancy and law, it should have its own standards and retail bankers should their own high calibre professional       qualifications.These were the main messages confirmed by a poll of delegates at the high level RBA/LSE Symposium on 'The Future of Banking as a Profession' held in London.

After a lively and passionate debate, delegates from around the world were posed a series of questions and the survey results reveal a degree of consensus among those present when it comes to the key issues facing the industry.
