CRB Certification overview

Academy certification is achieved upon successful completion of three separate programmes, each one culminating in an exam:

The route to becoming a CRB

In order to describe yourself as a Certified Retail Banker and use the CRB designation, you must join RBA Membership. At each level, RBA Membership entitles you to use the corresponding letters after your name.

  • Retail Banking I

Those who have passed the Retail Banking I examination are eligble to join RBA Membership and will be awarded the status of Associate Retail Banker which entitles them to the use of the letters ARB I.

  • Retail Banking II

Those who have passed the Retail Banking II examination are eligble to join RBA Membership and will be awarded the status of Associate Retail Banker which entitles them to the use of the letters ARB II.

  • Retail Banking III

Those who have passed the Retail Banking III examination only (and not as part of one of the Accelerated CRB Programmes) are eligble to join RBA Membership and will be awarded the status of Associate Retail Banker which entitles them to the use of the letters ARB III.

However, those who have passed examinations at all three levels: Retail Banking I, Retail Banking II and Retail Banking III are eligible to become Certified Members and are entitled to use the designation Certified Retail Banker adding the letters CRB after their name.
